In this role, you will oversee the technical support needs of CIN regional sites in Geismar and Freeport and ensure the successful execution of capital and expense projects within regulatory and BASF standards. Leveraging your experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, Construction, Maintenance and Process Improvement within a chemical or process plant environment, you will function as the point of contact for Capital projects for CI regional Manufacturing in North America.Combining your excellent interpersonal and communication skills with your ability to lead and manage an organization of highly skilled project management and discipline engineering resources, you will be responsible for talent development and management of CI Engineering personnel.Relying upon your project leadership and project management experience utilizing the phase gate process, you will participate in or lead global, regional, or local key value add initiatives that are aligned with and contribute to CI Business targets.Your organization skills in resource planning and task management will be essential, as you conduct planning discussions with site personnel and site engineering teams to coordinate Capital projects preparation, scoping, staffing and work execution.Demonstrating your exceptional customer focus and ability to network, you will closely interact with multiple organizational levels at supported CI sites, regional and global Management and Engineering and other functional units locally, regionally, and globally.Your strong technical background in Technology, Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering and ability to work autonomously within a global and virtual environment with minimal direct managerial oversight will serve you well, as you evaluate options and solutions in the respective areas of expertise.Applying your ability to oversee, define, negotiate, and evaluate CapEx-related external services and materials contractors, suppliers, and contracts, you will develop work management and execution strategies for CI CapEx projects in the region.Utilizing your work experience in Capital project execution and your working knowledge of CI manufacturing processes and assets, including global aspects of standardization, modularization, execution strategies and global sourcing, you will drive efficiency and effectiveness across functional group support to CI CapEx projects and sites, particularly EHS and Procurement.Create your own chemistry with you@BASF
