Facility and Asset Manager Talento has partnered with an organization with a facility that sees hundreds of thousands of travelers in Miami on a search for a Facility and Asset Manager based out of Miami, FL. We are seeking an experienced and highly Manager to oversee the maintenance, engineering operations, and asset management of this facility. This role ensures the physical infrastructure, systems, and services meet safety, environmental, and operational standards while maximizing asset performance and lifespan. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in facility management and asset management within large-scale or complex environments. Responsibilities Building Engineering & Maintenance: Oversee the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and repair of the building infrastructure, systems, and utilities, while implementing initiatives to enhance asset value and improve operational efficiency. Conduct regular inspections to ensure operational efficiency, safety compliance, and optimal system functionality. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, collaborating with internal teams and external contractors. Implement and manage preventive maintenance plans to ensure the longevity and reliability of building's systems and minimize downtime. Asset Management: Develop and execute a comprehensive asset management strategy that aligns with the facility's operational goals. Utilize asset management software to monitor, evaluate, and report on the condition, performance, and maintenance of assets, in alignment with ISO 55000/55001 standards. Lead efforts to optimize asset utilization, reduce operational costs, and extend asset lifecycles through proactive planning and investment. Collaborate with finance and operations teams to prepare capital expenditure budgets for asset upgrades, replacements, or refurbishments. Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all systems and facilities comply with local, state, federal, and port-specific codes, standards, and regulations, including building codes, safety requirements, and environmental standards. Conduct risk assessments on building systems and assets, implementing contingency plans and safety protocols as needed. Oversee the implementation of health, safety, and environmental programs to mitigate risk and ensure a safe environment for staff, passengers, and visitors. Vendor & Contractor Management: Manage relationships with contractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure timely and quality delivery of services, including repairs, maintenance, installations, and inspections. Negotiate and manage contracts related to facility maintenance and asset services. Project Management: Oversee construction, renovation, and improvement projects within the facility, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Lead sustainability initiatives, including energy efficiency, waste management, and water conservation efforts. Reporting & Documentation: Prepare reports on asset performance, building engineering issues, and maintenance activities for senior management and stakeholders. Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, inspections, and repairs performed on the facilities and systems. Oversee the development and implementation of operational manuals and asset management plans. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Asset Management, Construction Management, or a related field. 7-10 years of experience in building engineering, facility management, or asset management Minimum 5 years of experience managing large-scale facilities. Strong knowledge of building systems (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and familiarity with preventive maintenance programs. Experience with asset management software (e.g., IBM Maximo, SAP EAM) and familiarity with ISO 55000/55001 standards or similar. Knowledge of sustainability practices, energy management strategies, and environmental best practices. Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams. Experience in the maritime or cruise terminal industry is preferred. Must be able to work in outdoor conditions and various weather types and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
