Director, Program Management (Construction) Talento has partnered with an organization that builds large, complex buildings across the globe on a search for a hands on Director of Program Management in Miami, FL. The incumbent is an experienced Group Program Manager with a strong background in construction, development, sustainability, risk management, and permitting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading multiple large-scale projects, ensuring adherence to compliance and laws when applicable while following strong project management methodologies. Responsibilities Oversee and manage a portfolio of development projects, including but not limited to, the end-to-end execution of construction and/or development projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Lead risk management efforts by identifying, assessing, and developing mitigation strategies for potential project risks for a portfolio of development projects. Oversee the development by third parties of comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resources. Direct cross-functional teams to ensure projects are meeting timelines and company standards while staying compliant with all laws and regulations. Oversee compliance with all relevant permits, regulatory requirements, national and international laws, and safety standards. Ensure all project teams coordinate with local, state, and federal authorities to secure necessary permits and approvals for construction projects. Work closely with stakeholders to ensure alignment and communicate throughout the lifecycle of the portfolio of projects. Monitor project performance, conducting regular reviews to ensure on time and on budget delivery. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project execution and sustainability practices. Manage relationships and deliverables from external vendors, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success. Report on progress of project portfolio, risks, and key performance indicators to senior management and stakeholders. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or similar. 15 years of progressive experience with a minimum of 10 years as a Program Manager. PMBOK, PMP, or similar certification highly preferred. Proven track record in managing large-scale construction projects, securing permits, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Experience working with local teams on international locations is a plus. Strong knowledge of sustainability practices, environmental regulations, and green building standards. Excellent risk management skills with the ability to develop and implement effective mitigation strategies. International experience working with government agencies. Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional, fast-paced startup environment while partnering with executives and board members. Able to travel up to 50% of the time.
