Job Title: Mechanical Assembler
Job Description
Our company, the inventor of the original bulk palletizer, continues to lead the industry in robotic automation and material handling equipment. We manufacture simple, yet sophisticated low-level case palletizers, high and low-level case palletizers, and multi-line case palletizing systems. Our sister company builds large industrial conveyors and will send work to our facility. Most of our products serve the Food and Beverage and Chemical industries.
Responsibilities
Use machine drawings, machine assembly drawings, control schematics, and relevant bills of materials to proficiently build according to drawings and problem solve where needed.
Engage in the reduction and/or elimination of non-value-added work throughout the organization.
Utilize hand tools proficiently in performing tasks such as structural assembly, mechanical drive assembly, fluid control assembly, guard and cover assembly, mechanical assembly, and simple electrical assembly.
Ensure work represents quality workmanship, neatness, with acceptable efficiencies.
Complete quality assurance checks for the Blue Books.
Provide accurate documentation skills including labor reporting, material issue/returns, material moves, and material scrap reports.
Execute inventory re-ordering policies including Kanban.
Prepare equipment for shipment, including machine teardown.
Essential Skills
Experience with mechanical assembly, using tape measures, blueprints, hand tools, power tools, and general labor.
1+ year of experience in electrical or mechanical assembly.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with assembling and providing quality workmanship.
Proficiency in using hand tools and understanding mechanical assembly and blueprints.

Work Environment
Our facility operates from 5:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday to Thursday with a 30-minute lunch break. Voluntary overtime is available on Fridays or Saturdays for up to 10 hours. Employees need to be comfortable with potential involuntary overtime, which would be communicated on Mondays. The facility is very clean and well-lit, with assemblers working in groups of 2-6. We use Milwaukee tools, and candidates may be asked to work on platforms 20 ft high and 70 ft long.
