Direct HireKey Responsibilities:Assist in the setup, configuration, and ongoing management of operating systems, software, and hardware components.Manage user accounts, permissions, and system security settings.Monitor system performance, proactively identifying and resolving any issues.Carry out regular maintenance tasks, including system updates, security patches, and data backups.Ensure that servers, networks, and other infrastructure remain available and reliable.Provide assistance to users with technical problems, addressing hardware and software issues.Help resolve service requests and troubleshoot issues submitted through the helpdesk.Offer training on basic system operations and best practices for users.Assist in the setup and maintenance of network hardware, such as routers, switches, and firewalls.Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and ensure the network remains secure and efficient.Enforce security policies and procedures, monitoring for potential security incidents and vulnerabilities.Work with senior administrators to strengthen and refine system security measures.Keep thorough documentation of system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.Contribute to the creation and maintenance of internal IT policies and procedures.Work closely with other IT team members and departments to resolve technical challenges and streamline operations.Assist in the planning and execution of IT projects.Qualifications:Previous experience in a related IT role.Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor.A solid understanding of various operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux).Familiarity with network protocols and services.Experience with system administration tools and best practices.Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.Ability to work independently or as part of a team.Desired Skills:Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified, VMware, etc.).Experience with virtualization technologies.Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).Familiarity with cloud platforms.Basic experience with Active Directory tasks.Benefits:Comprehensive health, dental, and prescription benefits.Company-paid life insurance and disability.Flexible spending plans.Employee assistance program.401K retirement savings plan.Paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave.This role is ideal for someone with hands-on IT experience who enjoys working in a collaborative environment.
