Portland, OR - 100% onsitePosition OverviewA Support Engineer provides professional technical support through clear, positive communication with clients, blending technical and interpersonal skills to excel in their role. Their main objective is to support System Administrators and IT teams, ensuring smooth infrastructure operations.Primary ResponsibilitiesSystem Installation and Configuration
Assist in installing and configuring operating systems, software, and hardware.Set up and maintain user accounts, permissions, and security settings.Configure and install computers, printers, and other office equipment.System Monitoring and Maintenance
Monitor system performance, proactively troubleshooting issues.Perform routine maintenance, including updates, patches, and backups.Maintain the reliability and availability of servers, networks, and other infrastructure.User Support
Provide technical support for hardware and software issues.Manage help desk tickets, offering solutions and advice on technical matters.Train users on basic system functions and best practices.Documentation
Keep system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps accurately documented.Contribute to IT policy and procedure development.Document and analyze technical issues and user interactions.Collaboration
