Summary:

Haselden’s Business Development Department consists of a team of professionals actively engaged in the strategic pursuit of new projects and the maintenance of existing relationships, committing resources to clients who are the best fit for Haselden’s unique teams, experience, and culture. A dedicated team within the Business Development Department supports these efforts through the tangible production and management of qualifications, proposals, and interviews.

The Senior Proposal Coordinator works collaboratively within this dedicated team to write Haselden’s strategic proposal content. This position facilitates the refinement of the written strategy/sales points, research qualifications and proofs (interviewing subject matter experts, databases, and past documents), writes persuasive and compelling proposal sections tailored to RFP requirements, edits firm and staff qualifications to meet the project scope and strategy, edits technical writing and proofreads.

In addition, this team leads efforts to promote Haselden Construction and its affiliate companies as industry leaders in relevant markets, executing the long-term marketing plan. This position coordinates with corporate marketing efforts to maintain a consistent message and appearance for Haselden Construction as a whole.

Job Responsibilities:

· Manage entire proposal schedule and act as appropriate to ensure deliverable milestones are met. Oversee production process from start to finish within tight timeframes in all contract delivery methods including CM/GC, and Design/Build.

· Creates interview materials, (like slide deck presentations, PowerPoint, boards, leave behinds, etc.).

· Utilize strong graphic communication skills to develop proposals, posters, updates, communications, and other content as needed to execute vision for business development and marketing objectives.

· Analyze RFQ/P requirements, refine written strategies, and incorporate win themes into the planning of RFP/Q responses.

· Proactively develop and execute proposal work plans for project pursuits.

· Write succinct, superior content within deadlines, addressing the specific needs of the project and the client.

· Identify and modify relevant existing Haselden content to meet proposal requirements when appropriate.

· Perform content editing and identify gaps and proposal weaknesses. Work with Division Managers, Business Developers, and Subject Matter Experts to develop and refine proposal content. Incorporate comments and change content based on feedback from review teams. Assist with quality control of final proposals.

· Manage CRM / marketing database (Salesforce or similar).

· Prepare marketing materials as needed by the Business Development team.

· Prepare marketing materials required for trade shows.

· Manage final photography and final photo archiving for projects.

· Provide relevant market sector research to facilitate development of marketing and proposal content.

· Ability and desire to educate and mentor Project Coordinators on the proposal generation process and demonstrate expected proposal quality through your work.

Job Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Marketing, Journalism, Communication, English or applicable technical discipline related to the construction industry.

· A minimum of six (6) years of proposal/technical writing in the A/E/C industry strongly preferred. Must have a solid understanding of the construction industry.

· Prior experience as a Proposal or Marketing Coordinator managing proposal development (preferably in the construction industry).

· Proficient in Adobe, Microsoft Office products, and Bluebeam, particularly Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

· Strong team skills and desire to contribute positively to team success is a critical trait.

· Experience with CRM software, preferably Salesforce or similar.

· Exceptional interviewing and writing abilities, and a keen eye for detail.

· Ability to work directly with subject matter experts and proposal teams to produce technical content that is persuasive, compelling, and compliant with RFP requirements.

· Strong persuasive writing and editing skills.

· Excellent command of English grammar, spelling, and composition as well as oral communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to successfully multi-task, communicate, and stay organized to achieve strict deadlines on multiple proposals/efforts at a time.

· Strong interpersonal skills: ability to work well with people at all levels.

· Graphic design aptitude: ability to create layouts for proposals, brochures, newsletters, booklets, posters, signs, and other printed materials is highly desired.

· Self-starter, ability to meet project deadlines and deliverables without constant or direct supervision.

· Flexibility to modify work hours as required in support of the proposal process.

· A high degree of energy, enthusiasm, tenacity, and creativity.

· Encouraged to submit portfolio or examples of past creative work as an introduction to your personal design aesthetic.

Salary:

The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $95,000 per year.

Salary to be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, location where job is performed. Haselden does not discriminate based upon any protected category with respect to the payment of wages.
