Job Description

The primary responsibility of this position is to assist students, faculty, staff, and community members in the testing process professionally and confidentially. This includes test administration, scoring, and reporting of test results. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, managing the Testing Services office and serving as a secondary liaison for the office to the campus community.

This position may pay more than the salary listed above depending on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.

Responsibilities:Act as a Site Manager in the administration of all exams offered by the Testing Services office; duties included but are not limited to establishing, maintaining, and monitoring the testing schedule; assisting in the administration of computer-based and paper-based exams by monitoring the operations and condition of the testing lab, which includes but is not limited to preparing and cleaning the testing lab, monitoring the test room to ensure that computers are working appropriately and students are following test guidelines, recommending needed repairs and maintenance to Program Coordinator, ensuring test integrity by monitoring the use of permitted and prohibited materials in the test room, check-in testers by the verification of student information and test registration, distribute test instructions, time examinations, maintain a secure and safe testing environment, verifying answer sheets and forms are complete, collecting scrap paper, reporting and documenting all test irregularities and violations; managing test proctors and test monitors; managing the processing of registration forms and payments for testing; communicating with students, parents, PVAMU faculty and staff to answer questions, disseminate and explain information; respect and uphold client confidentiality, serve as a test administrator for on-campus testing proctoring at the main campus ensuring that all testing is administered professionally; and when necessary, administering exams at both the Northwest and Nursing campuses; maintaining office records according to university and test vendor record retention policies.Act as the in-office contact for virtual testers by helping to navigate virtual testing systems: assisting with registration issues, retrieving and logging exam status and schedulingreports, managing voucher system for students testing, reviewing testing incidents to ensure academic integrity; update documents and information on website related to the virtual testing and communicate virtual testing information; provide reports about the progress of student completion with virtual proctoring companies.Act as a secondary contact for Prior Learning Assessment credit with the Testing Services office by assisting in the articulation of PLA credit, and maintaining records based on testing agency and university standards.Communicating and promoting services to the campus community and surrounding area by developing and delivering informational materials (campus, newspaper, and radio) about Testing Services as needed; and organizing meetings by preparing meeting materials and agendas, as required, with other academic support units. Serve as secondary test center supervisor for national exams and assume the primary center supervisor's role in the Program Coordinator's absence.Performs other duties as assigned.Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degreeNo prior experience required.Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills.Maintains attention to detail and utilizes sound judgment.Other Requirements:

Must be willing and able to work some early mornings, evenings, and Saturdays.Preferred Qualifications:
