About the Position: Serves as the Senior Program Analyst in the Resource Management/G-8, Program Budget Division, Operations and Maintenance, Army (OMA) Budget Office responsible for analyzing and coordinating data pertaining to special projects and all things related to Program Objective Memorandum (POM), and Resource Summit. Responsibilities Provide analytical, operational, and financial technical services to all organizations under the Tank Automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM). Lead for updating and consolidating Project Objective Memorandum (POM) and Resource Summit slide decks for Army Material Command (AMC) briefings. Responsible for analyzing, reviewing, executing, and coordinating data pertaining to POM, and Resource Summit. Responsible for the development and submission of annual Resource Summit. Provide advice on fiscal related matters and any other special projects/tasks directed by the OMA Budget Chief. Identify opportunities for process improvement within the Army Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) cycle to enhance effectiveness. Specialized Experience: Your resume must reflect one year of specialized experience to include: (1) Analyzing program functions to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and timelines; (2) Evaluating budget requirements to measure effectiveness of program planning; and (3) Utilizing written and verbal communication to provide advice regarding program management and budget related issues. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Budget Administration Financial Analysis Problem Solving Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required.
