Hilco Vision is searching for a Plant Operations Manager to join the team! They will be responsible for overseeing our manufacturing and distribution facility in Fairfield, Ohio. Managing the day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient production, maintaining high safety standards, and delivering exceptional customer satisfaction. A strong background in manufacturing operations, supply chain management, and team leadership within the eye care industry or a similar regulated environment is preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree.7-10 years' experience in manufacturing, supply chain, leadership.Deep understanding of production processes, manufacturing best practices and operational efficiency.Familiar with KPIs like OTIF delivery and the ability to analyze and track these metrics for CI.Proven experience with understanding leadership principles, team-building strategies and techniques for fostering a collaborative work environment.Responsibilities

Drive the implementation of best practices across all operational areas, ensuring alignment with company goals and industry standards.Establish clear objectives, monitor progress, and adjust strategies to meet production targets.Develop, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, such as OTIF (On-Time In-Full) delivery.Utilize data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.Regularly report on plant performance to senior management, highlighting successes and addressing challenges.Collaborate with the supply chain and inventory teams to ensure the availability of materials and the timely distribution of products.Optimize inventory management practices to balance cost efficiency with customer service levels.Work closely with the finance team to align inventory and operational decisions with financial goals and budgetary constraints.Partner with the finance team to monitor plant budgets, control costs, and achieve financial targets.Implement cost-saving initiativesEnsure accurate financial reporting and support audits as required.Oversee the maintenance of all plant equipment, ensuring minimal downtime.Develop preventive maintenance schedules and address any equipment-related issues proactively.Inspire and motivate the operations team, promoting professional growth and development.Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and create development plans for team members.Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive culture that values innovation and teamwork.Ability to move around the plant floor frequently, inspecting various areas and equipment.Prolonged periods of standing or walking to monitor production, meet with teams, or conduct inspections.May occasionally need to lift or carry items (likely up to 25-50 pounds) during inspections, maintenance reviews, or when assisting the team.Ability to work in an environment that may have varying temperatures, humidity, dust, or noise levels, typical of manufacturing or production settings.Benefits
