Job DescriptionOur client, a growing mid-size sales and distribution company, is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager. This is a hybrid role offering excellent work-life balance. The ideal candidate will report directly to senior leadership and will be responsible for overseeing all accounting functions of the globally operating company.
Responsibilities:• Manage the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.• Partner with the external CPA firm to manage tax planning, compliance, and filings.• Analyze and manage Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) to ensure proper cost accounting and profitability analysis.• Oversee inventory accounting and reporting, ensuring accuracy in inventory valuation and cost allocations.• Provide leadership in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support the company's growth objectives.• Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements:• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.• 5+ years of experience in accounting, with a strong understanding of inventory and COGS accounting.• Previous experience in a mid-size company, preferably in the sales and distribution sector.• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls.• Proficiency in accounting software and Excel.• Ability to work in-office with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
