We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Portfolio Analyst to join our team. The Portfolio Analyst will be responsible for monitoring and analyzing investment portfolios, conducting performance reviews, and providing actionable insights to support decision-making. This role requires a strong understanding of financial markets, data analysis, and portfolio management principles, as well as excellent communication skills for presenting findings to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Analysis and Monitoring

Analyze investment portfolios to assess performance, risk, and alignment with objectives.Monitor market trends and economic indicators that could impact portfolio value.Conduct scenario analysis and stress testing to evaluate portfolio resilience.

Performance Reporting

Prepare detailed performance reports, including returns, benchmarks, and risk metrics.Create visual dashboards and presentations to communicate portfolio insights to stakeholders.Ensure timely and accurate delivery of performance reports to clients or internal teams.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation

Identify potential risks within the portfolio and recommend strategies to mitigate them.Monitor portfolio exposures to ensure adherence to risk management guidelines.Collaborate with risk management teams to align portfolio strategies with organizational policies.

Research and Strategy Support

Conduct research on asset classes, sectors, and markets to support investment strategies.Analyze historical data and forecast future performance to inform portfolio decisions.Provide recommendations for asset allocation, diversification, and rebalancing.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Work closely with portfolio managers, traders, and investment teams to ensure alignment on goals.Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Assist in the preparation of materials for client meetings, presentations, and reviews.

Compliance and Documentation

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal investment policies.Maintain accurate records of portfolio activities, decisions, and changes.Contribute to the development of procedures and processes to enhance portfolio operations.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.2-4 years of experience in portfolio analysis, investment management, or a related role.

Technical Skills

Strong proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Bloomberg, FactSet).Experience with portfolio management software or platforms.Familiarity with financial instruments, asset classes, and risk metrics.Understanding of statistical and quantitative analysis methods.

Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities or challenges.

Preferred

CFA or CIPM certification (or progress toward certification).Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis.Experience in ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) analysis.
