Health Insurance:
Employees working 30+ hours per week - Eligibility will begin the 1st of the month following your date of hire. The state will pay for the majority of the cost and the district will contribute up to $105/month towards the employee share.
Dental Insurance:
Employees working at least 18.75+ hours per week, the school district will contribute up to $90/month towards the cost of the insurance.
Vision Insurance:
All employees are eligible to purchase vision insurance through EyeMed at full cost.
District Paid Life Insurance:
Employees working 20+ hours (support staff) are eligible. A $25,000 policy is carried on each employee at no cost.
General Description:
A Child Nutrition Worker participates in food preparation in the school cafeteria, serving food, setting up counters, cashiering, operating kitchen equipment, and clean-up of kitchen facilities and serving areas. Successful completion of job duties will result in an eating environment where meals are prepared, served, and stored in an atmosphere that promotes food safety and sanitation.
Minimum Qualification:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Must work in the area assigned by the Child Nutrition Manager.
Will be responsible for proper use, operation and cleanliness of kitchen equipment, heating and cooling units, cash register, and other equipment as required.
Must be open to accepting alternating assignments on the serving line, in the dish room, kitchen prep, and cash register as directed by the Child Nutrition Manager.
Must keep work, service areas, and equipment clean and sanitary.
Will clean dining area tables and chairs during and after meal service.
Will move and store Child Nutrition food and supplies.
Will observe areas where help is needed and assist where needed.
Adheres to approved standards of personal hygiene and grooming.
Professional Responsibilities:
Report to work on time every workday.
Perform all duties as assigned during scheduled workdays.
Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships.
Display a cooperative attitude and have the ability to work well with students, school personnel, co-workers, and the supervisor.
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Work independently and exercise initiative.
Shall be free from the use of drugs and alcohol.

Necessary sanitation precautions and procedures during food preparation and storage.
Skills:
Active listening, social perceptiveness, coordination & flexibility, effective communication.
