The Aquatics Director will lead the development and implementation of high-quality aquatic programs for the YMCA of Metro Fort Worth. The ideal candidate must have a demonstrated track record of delivering high-quality programs combined with the ability to manage the administrative components of programming. Strong organizational and time management skills are necessary to ensure that the participants and families have an exceptional experience at the Y. Join us and help transform lives!QUALIFICATIONSEducation & Certifications:Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience (or currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Program).Four or more years of program management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency.YMCA Lifeguard and/or Swim Instructor Certification.LGI a plus.YMCA Team Leader Certification preferred.Experience & Background:High energy, positive, “can-do” attitude, flexibility, teamwork, and attention to detail and high degree of initiative will help this candidate be successful.The ability to direct programs through leading both staff and volunteers, developing and monitoring budgets, developing and marketing programs.This leader will also need the ability to connect and relate with diverse groups of people at all levels of the organization.KEY FOCUS AREASDevelops, implements, and manages operating plans to promote program growth for the YMCA. Executes strategies to ensure that program participants connect with one another and connect with the YMCA.Develops and controls department budgets related to this position.Hires, trains, and supervises staff and volunteers in assigned areas. Facilitates communication and provides leadership. Models relationship-building skills in all interactions.Provides leadership and support to the annual fundraising campaign and volunteer committees.Develops and maintains effective working relationships within the community.Assures compliance with state and local regulations. The yearly salary range for this position is $44,000 - $55,000 and will be commensurate with the selected candidate's experience.The YMCA provides competitive health, dental, and vision benefits. Long-term disability, a medical and dependent care reimbursement plan, employee assistance plan, free family membership, discounts on Y programs including summer camps, enrichment classes, youth sports, childcare, and more! Eligible to enroll in a 403(b) tax-deferred account at the beginning of employment. 12% retirement paid by the YMCA upon meeting eligibility requirements.
