A prominent law firm based in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join its team, focusing on Post-Conviction Relief (PCR) matters with the potential to work on cases involving Immigration law. This position offers the opportunity to manage a variety of cases, including motions to vacate, expungements, and early termination of probation, while also collaborating with both criminal and immigration legal teams. Ideal candidates will possess experience in either criminal or immigration law, or both, and should be licensed to practice in California.Duties:Advise clients on legal rights and strategies in post-conviction relief matters, including motions to vacate, expungements, and early termination of probation.Manage a caseload primarily focused on post-conviction relief, with possible implications for immigration status.Represent clients at hearings, providing counsel on legal strategies before, during, and after hearings.Handle select criminal cases, including arraignments, pre-trial procedures, plea negotiations, and sentencing.Assess the impact of criminal convictions on immigration status and provide corresponding legal advice.Collaborate closely with other attorneys and staff across criminal defense and immigration law practices.Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and other legal documents related to post-conviction relief.Requirements:Active license to practice law in California.Experience in criminal defense or immigration law preferred.Experience managing a high caseload and working independently.Strong ability to communicate and collaborate within a team environment.Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Must hold an active California State Bar license.Skills:Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong analytical and legal research abilities.Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining high standards of legal practice.Familiarity with criminal defense procedures and immigration law matters.High attention to detail and organizational skills.Job Location:Rancho Cucamonga, CA (Remote work flexibility available)Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays.Paid parking.Opportunities for career advancement and professional development.Collaborative and inclusive work environment.
