This role provides an opportunity for a dedicated attorney to work on a diverse caseload in a remote environment, supporting clients in the San Jose area. With a focus on growth, professional development, and client advocacy, this position is ideal for a skilled attorney looking to advance within a respected legal firm.Duties:Advise clients on legal rights, prepare legal documents, and provide strategic guidance.Represent clients in pretrial hearings and communicate effective strategies post-hearing.Handle all aspects of case management, including court appearances, trials, drafting motions, and witness interviews.Conduct thorough legal research to analyze case outcomes based on precedents.Manage a varied caseload and provide tailored legal analyses for clients.Gather supporting evidence for the client's defense and challenge the prosecution’s charges when needed.Prepare clients for depositions, establish case goals, and gather statements from witnesses and experts.Review discovery documents, draft motions, negotiate with the District Attorney, and appear in court remotely as required.Requirements:Minimum of 3 years of experience in criminal defense.Proven expertise in handling complex criminal cases at federal, state, and local levels.Collaborative team player open to working closely with associates on case strategies.Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred (not required).Exceptional client service and strong interpersonal skills.Proficient with remote case management, including document review, motion preparation, and DA negotiations.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to practice law in California.Certifications:California State Bar admission is in good standing.Skills:Strong analytical and research skills.Excellent verbal and written communication.Ability to manage high-stakes cases independently.Skilled in negotiation and strategic case management.Comfort with remote work tools and legal research software.Job Location:Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.Paid parking.Generous paid time off (PTO) policy.A supportive work environment that promotes career advancement.An inclusive and diverse workplace with equal employment opportunities.Company info
