PRIMARY FUNCTION:
To exceed annual sales plan within the transportation target market. Grow territory by winning new customers and increasing market share with existing customers. Support direct customers and distributor and/or reseller partners by building strong relationships. Position Viking Pump to become the premier product offering in transportation pumping applications.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Meets or exceeds segment sales revenue forecast as established by the sales and business line leaders.Make sales calls with and without channel partners and builds relationships with key customers in the targeted industry.Communicate call results to segment team with applicable action items.Manage "project" activity in the assigned territory, including product offering, recommend pricing levels based on value selling concepts and establish sales strategy while following company policies and objectives.Own lead management process from discovery through closing phases.Capture and report sales progress through applicable tools and processes.Provide technical consultation to the customer on product solutions.Provide technical field support to the customer when required.Working closely with channel partners to provide technical instruction and collaborative end user trainings.Develop and implement strategies for displacement of competition at new and existing targeted accounts with the goal of increased market share and penetration.Facilitate required training to fabricators, channel partners, and end users on commercial issues.Build impactful relationships with customers' personnel across their organizations.Provide the company with new product ideas, market trends, territory market data, sales growth strategies, and competitive intelligence. Participate on New Product Development, marketing, and sales teams as required.Continually develop personal sales skills via self-development.Other duties as assigned by Management.We Value:

Self-motivated, excellent organizational, planning, and presentation skillsStrong technical selling skillsManage relationships, establish credibility and trustAbility to travel up to 50% of the timeCOMPUTER SKILLS:
Proficient with Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, and OutlookComputer skills including familiarity with CRM and other tools
