PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The HR Director will lead the global leadership and talent development activities for Viking Pump. This position will align programs, priorities and actions to the strategic talent objectives. This role will integrate succession planning, talent development, performance management and other actions to develop a best-in-class talent function. This position requires an onsite work schedule.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the annual talent review process to achieve business goals and develop a strong depth of organizational talent.
Collect, analyze and maintain data gathered to identify targeted leadership development.
Ensure talent and performance management initiatives are focused and impactful on improving organizational effectiveness.
Review talent data and metrics to identify insights that drive action plans.
Develop and maintain targeted leadership development strategies and actions.
Integrate advanced onboarding programs across specific levels of the organization.
Facilitate learning events, programs or team development activities in partnership with HR peers.
Integrate the broader diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging strategies into the organization to support business objectives.
Implement talent sourcing strategies and standard work throughout the recruitment process.
Consult on organizational design and the strategic plan implications.
Analyze workforce data to identify trends, strengths and opportunities to develop talent strategies.
Partner with Corporate HR teams to implement, assess and drive global HR actions at the business unit level.
Work with a high level of confidentiality and discretion in dealing with sensitive employee or organizational information.
Manage other duties or projects as assigned
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree a plus
8 years in Human Resources with direct talent management experience.
Experience developing talent strategies and implementing action plans.
Proven experience leading teams directly and indirectly.
Exceptional stakeholder management and consulting skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present across all levels of the organization including executive audiences.
Demonstrated situational awareness and critical thinking.
WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Ability to move within office and manufacturing complex, write by hand and keyboard, and perform general office functions.
Ability to communicate by speech and hearing via phone and in person.
Visual acuity needed for close detail work and computer use.
General manufacturing, warehouse and office environment.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Must have the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organization, enlisting the needed cooperation for successful implementation of programs and other measures needed to meet performance standards.
