Job Title: Transportation Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Transportation Specialist to tender inbound and outbound loads to multiple carriers. The ideal candidate will coordinate with sales, purchasing, and production departments to ensure accurate and timely shipping of orders, maintain organized records, and respond to customer and supplier inquiries.
ResponsibilitiesTender inbound and outbound loads to multiple carriers.Coordinate with sales, purchasing, and production departments to guarantee accurate and timely shipping of orders.Maintain organized records of inbound and outbound loads.Respond to customer and supplier inquiries pertaining to their shipments.Schedule inbound and outbound loads, weighing all trucks to verify and document accurate weight, issuing and signing truck B/L for all outgoing shipments.Review, validate, and code the freight bills received against inbound and outbound shipments.Essential Skills
Knowledge of using SAP for data entry and processing orders.Experience in transportation, freight, and supply chain management.Customer service oriented.Proficient in data entry.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma.Strong working knowledge of inventory control system (SAP).Excellent written and oral communication skills.Work Environment
This person will be working in an office environment. The company offers benefits and a bonus program once the contract duration is complete.
