Shifts & Scheduling: 12Hr shifts - 0645-1915, 1845-0715, 2-week rotation core schedule, manager makes schedule but will consider block schedulingWeekend Requirement: Every other: Days- Sat, Sunday, and Nights- Fri, SatHoliday Requirement: Every other: Days are Day of, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Years Day, etc. Nights are Eves, Day before Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, NYE etc.Is there Call or a Standby requirement? No, could be placed on standby/ call three times during contract, or volunteer for itFloating Requirements: Rotation if needed to surgical floor & PCU, within skillsetUnit Specific Information
Unit: MedSurg# of Beds: 53Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:5 on Days, 1:6 on NightsScrub Color/Dress Code/Scrubs provided? Black pants, scrub tops of choice (solid or appropriate print)Additional Details
Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Pneumonia, CHF, COPD, Sepsis, COVID, stroke, overflow general surgical, oncology-some implanted radiationCommon titratable &/or set rate drips: Heparin per protocol, antibioticsRT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.): Cpap, occasional BipapAre there tele/monitor techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors? RN not required to read tele, on site monitor techAdditional Notes: Have a lot of new grads and travelers, welcoming team and family feel on unit, option to go perm if a good fit
