Our client in the data-driven applications industry is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join their team. As a Data Engineer, you will be part of the Infrastructure Analytics department supporting various teams. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in JIRA, Agile, Python, SQL, and ETL, as well as experience with BI tools and DAX language for creating, testing, and maintaining dashboards.

Pay Range: starting from $58 per hour
What's the Job?
Validate data accuracy between source systems and dashboards, ensuring data completeness, accuracy, and transformation logic are preserved
Create and execute tests to measure and optimize dashboard load times and query performance, delivering a smooth user experience even with large datasets
Design, build, and maintain automated testing frameworks for dashboards and BI applications, covering data validation, performance, functionality, and UI consistency
Test for visual elements, layout consistency, and functionality, including interactive features like filters, data selections, and drilldowns, to ensure a user-friendly, accessible interface across all applications
Maintain clean, reliable data in our ecosystem by automating data cleanup processes and resolving quality issues to ensure accurate, reliable dashboard outputs
Regularly update and optimize Power BI dashboards and ensure smooth operation across all analytics applications
Work closely with BI developers, data engineers, and analysts to support technical documentation for systems and application
What's Needed?
Experience and proficiency with BI tools (Power BI preferred) and DAX language for creating, testing, and maintaining dashboards
Strong skills in Python and SQL ETL tools like Airflow for scripting automated tests, data validation, and backend testing
Experience with Git to track and manage testing scripts and documentation. Knowledge of CI/CD workflows and the integration of automated tests is preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities using first principles thinking
Excellent communication skills when interfacing with cross-functional teams
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience with Agile tools like JIRA and Confluence
