Associate Attorney

The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in civil defense litigation, with courtroom and deposition experience. Position Overview:As an Associate Attorney, you will play a key role in managing and litigating civil defense cases. Your responsibilities will include legal research, drafting motions and discovery, managing case files, and appearing in court. You will work independently but also as part of a supportive and collaborative team, handling a variety of cases from inception through resolution. Trial experience is a plus, as there will be opportunities for increased responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of civil defense litigation matters, including legal research, drafting of motions, and discovery documents.
Represent clients in depositions, court hearings, and trials.
Prepare and file pleadings, motions, and responses to discovery.
Conduct legal research and develop strategies for case defense.
Work directly with clients to provide updates and discuss case progress.
Work independently while coordinating with senior attorneys and legal support staff as needed.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, when presenting legal arguments, drafting documents, and interacting with clients.
Qualifications:
J.D. from an accredited law school.
Active member in good standing with the
State Bar of California .
Minimum of
2 years of civil defense litigation experience .
Experience with
courtroom appearances
and
depositions . Trial experience is a plus.
Proficient in
legal research , drafting
motions , and preparing
discovery .
Strong ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Solid computer skills, including proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
