This position exists as a lead support for various production IT applications, development and modification of department ad hoc reports, automating various reporting jobs and assists in the business analysis and quality assurance efforts for automated systems of the Agency. The role will also mentor junior analysts on the team. How does it get done? Key responsibilities include utilizing tools and software to provide end user support for various production IT applications; develop and support departmental ad hoc reports, business intelligence and analytics dashboards and related automation; and assist the Project Management/Business Analysis and Quality Assurance teams with implementation efforts with the department's new OMS application, CORIS. Who are the customers? All of NMCD to include the Adult Prisons Division, Probation and Parole Division, Administrative Services Division, and the Adult Parole Board. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will have experience in: Testing software applications Maintaining and working with end users on the deployment of new software applications Using SQL, SSRS, Crystal Reports or other report building software Understanding of databases, data structures and Structured Query Language (SQL) Analyzing data and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems Minimum Qualification Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or Information Technology and four (4) years of experience in software programming, systems testing, or systems quality assurance (QA). If Minimum Qualification requires a specific number of "semester hours" in a field (e.g. 6 semester hours in Accounting), applicants MUST have those semester hours in order to meet the minimum qualifications. No substitutions apply for semester hours. Employment Requirements Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Employment is subject to a pre-employment background investigation and is conditional pending results. Working Conditions Work is performed in an adult prison environment, which includes daily contact with inmates.
