The Public Regulation Commission (PRC) serves New Mexico by ensuring safe operations and reliable utility services at fair, just, and reasonable rates consistent with the State's legal, economic, environmental, and social policies.
The Consumer Relations Division (CRD) serves as the agency's point of contact for New Mexicans with inquiries or disputes relative to services provided by industries regulated by the NMPRC.
The Administrative Services Division (ASD) supports the Commission in budget and accounting, procurement, case docketing, information technology systems services and personnel services. ASD consists of four bureaus: Budget and Finance, Records, Information Technology, and Human Resources.

This position provides in-person reception and administrative support for the NMPRC.
How does it get done?
Welcome visitors, determine their needs and direct them appropriately.Receive deliveries, sign for packages.Oversee visitor access.Answer and direct phone calls for the NMPRC.Performs clerical duties for the Administrative Services Division.Maintains a weekly phone log of calls answered and forwarded.Manage parking logs for the NMPRC as well as parking permits.Point of contact for building issues.

Ability to multi-task and to switch from one task to another without losing track of required criteria for each task.Meeting the needs of multiple individuals both internal and external utilizing the services of the position.Multi-line phone system limits time frames to accomplish tasks and must be worked around.Strong communication skills.Experience in customer service.
Minimum Qualification
High School diploma or equivalent and two (2) years work experience in office administration. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field andor direct experience in this occupation totaling two (2) years may substitute for the required experience.

Driver's License and Successful completion of Background check prior to hire.
Working Conditions
In-person office setting, exposure to Visual Display terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and telephone usage with extended periods of sitting. Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
