Summary

Essential Functions and Other Important Duties

DUTIESAdminister all aspects of the talent acquisition process from beginning to end including, but not limited to, verify vacancies, process position requisitions, verify job description content, post positions, ensure required documentation is obtained, complete preboarding, onboarding and transfer, coordinate and assist with new employee orientation.Oversee the talent acquisition system, including but not limited to, data management, applicant tracking and processing, user access, troubleshooting, research and development of appropriate modifications, and compliance verification to ensure accuracy and effectiveness throughout the recruiting life cycle.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding process to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and Local laws, regulations, and City policy and procedures; assist with requests for information, as appropriate.Serve as talent acquisition process and system subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders; provide guidance and training to hiring managers, as needed.Maintain system accuracy and effectiveness by opening and closing out positions in a timely manner, ensure posted job descriptions are up-to-date, leaders have appropriate system access, thorough applicant tracking, and applicant notification is complete; provide metric and applicant information, as needed.Assist, coordinate, and partner with the Parks and Recreation Department during the seasonal hiring process; ensure a system is in place to achieve seasonal hiring goals including adequate timelines for advertising, hiring, events, and onboarding deadline date, to effectively process the large volume of applicants, new hires, and rehires.Assist in development of advertising material(s) to promote and engage individuals with the City of Denton brand; attend events including, but not limited to, networking, job fairs, and speaking engagements, as needed.Evaluate current processes and provide recommendations for process improvement.Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve issues; notify leadership if unable to resolve issue.Stay up to date on industry trends, best practices, changes in human resources and/or in talent acquisition, Federal, State, and municipal laws, and regulations to improve processes and ensure compliance.Maintain, preserve, and destroy talent acquisition records in accordance and in compliance with the Local Government Records Control Schedule, pursuant to Local Government Code §203.041, Texas State Library and Archive Commission; ensure compliance with other applicable laws, regulations, and policies.SUPERVISORY/BUDGET RESPONSIBILITIESNone.OTHER DUTIESPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
