Summary About the Position: Serves as the Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff, G-8 (Resource Management), Headquarters, U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) utilizing knowledge in the fields of resource management to include programming/budget, management accounting, management analysis, support agreements, competitive sourcing, TDA management, acquisition management and oversight, as well as financial reporting and financial advisory functions. Responsibilities Delegated responsibility for carrying out all phases of resource management programs (financial, manpower, and force management). Provides technical expertise in interpreting directives, planning, implementing, and directing the program/budget, management accounting, management analysis, support agreement, competitive sourcing and TDA management. Serves as the Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff, G-8 (Resource Management), Headquarters, U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC). Plans, develops, monitors, and coordinates the execution and implementation of the total resource management program. Represents HQ TRADOC in planning, proposing, defending, and coordinating financial and management control systems and procedures to achieve optimum use of resources. Analyzes financial data and provides advice and guidance on the economics of plans and programs and utilization of financial, personnel and material resources. Serves as Department of the Army Portfolio Manager for Education and Training Knowledge Based Services. Supports Command career program manager for Comptroller Career Program. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) Experience providing administration and oversight to resource management programs such as budget, manpower and force management, and/or management accounting; (2) experience providing recommendations and technical advice to leadership on resource management programs for an organization; AND/OR (3) experience providing input to the allocation of resources within an organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Advanced Financial Management Financial Management Systems Financial Stewardship Leadership Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
