Position SummaryThe Associate Developer Full-Stack performs end-to-end development, testing and documentation of sophisticated cloud and web-based applications. This role involves significant research, analysis, and implementation. The Associate Full-Stack Developer develops and maintains innovative, scalable solutions which provide value to the business and provides operational support as required.Essential ResponsibilitiesDevelop, design, code, debug, and document web and mobile user interface applications in a variety of software languages (e.g., JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, jQuery, Java, Go)Design, write, and implement unit tests and end to end tests for UI/JavaScript and JavaParticipate in code reviews to ensure high quality and consistent coding practicesPartner with Developers and Lead Developers to learn best practices in coding and implementationPartner with data center operations and infrastructure teams to learn best practices in seamless deployments, proper documentation, and support for applicationsParticipate in development and architecture discussions; collaborate with other engineersReview system specifications and discuss project estimatesEnsure quality and performance standards are met across omnichannel customer experiences including kiosks, mobile, and web platformsEnsure work practices are in line with all audit, security, and regulatory requirementsEnsure that JetBlue IT and business standards and procedures are maintained in accordance with Company policiesOther duties as assigned

Minimum Experience and QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous related work experienceOne (1) year of work experience in a full-stack role, with experience in coding both JavaScript-based applications and backend applications, as well as optimizing the communication middleware protocolCandidates must demonstrate coding skills in a work sample assessmentAvailable for moderate overnight travel (up to 35%)In possession of valid travel documents with the ability to travel to in and out of the United StatesAble to work flexible hours and be available for emergency response on short noticeMust pass a pre-employment drug testMust be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is locatedAuthorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship

Preferred Experience and QualificationsOne (1) year of experience with one of the following backend object-oriented languages (Java, C#, Go)One (1) year of experience with one of the following frontend languages (JavaScript, TypeScript)One (1) year of experience with front-end frameworks such as Angular or ReactOne (1) year of experience with back-end frameworks such as Spring, JBoss, etc.Experience with RESTful services, JSON, and SOAP-based servicesExperience using GitKnowledge of omnichannel customer experiences across kiosks, mobile, and web platformsDemonstrated ability to code full-stack designs in a modular, well architected manner; experience with responsive/adaptive design, and efficient middleware communicationThorough knowledge of business function and thorough knowledge of business operations, objectives, and strategiesExposure to JetBlue's IT disciplines and interdependenciesExposure to JetBlue's business units and how their needs drive IT strategy.Working on enterprise-wide budget process

Compensation:The base pay range for this position is between $64,200.00 and $86,800.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue's total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
