Medical Appeals Coordinator Minimum of 5 years of experience in working medical appeals and negotiations processes Onsite in Phoenix, AZ 85008 Pay : $21-27 per hour Schedule : 7:00am - 4:00pm (Potential to flex) Responsibilities : Review and process appeals and denials from insurance companies, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Prepare and submit appeal letters, supporting documentation, and other required forms in a timely and organized manner. Maintain accurate documentation of all appeals and follow up on status and outcomes. Conduct thorough research and investigation to gather necessary information to support appeals. Collaborate with internal departments, including billing and collections, to resolve appeals and denials efficiently. Stay up to date with changes in regulations, guidelines, and payer policies related to appeals and denials. Requirements : Minimum of 5 years of experience in working medical appeals and negotiations processes Medicare, Managed Care and Workers Comp experience Experience in emergency medical is a plus Experience in medical billing and collections, with a strong understanding of coding, billing, and reimbursement processes. Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive attitude and a problem-solving mindset. Proficient in using computer systems, including electronic health record (EHR) systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
