2 years of unit experienceDepartment: PCUCommon diagnoses/Types of patients: Adults, Cardiac med/surg, dialysis, cancer diagnosis, vascular, sepsis, adult respiratory, stroke, post stent, post pacer placement, renal failureAre RNs required to titrate drips?: YesCommon titratable &/or set rate drips: Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, insulinRNs must read and interpret tele monitorsBeds: 40 beds with average daily census of 24Ratios: 1:4-5 both days and nightsCharge nurse and nurse aids/patient care techs present on the unitRequired to trouble shoot RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.)WILL NOT APPROVE BLOCKED SCHEDULING OR SAME SCHEDULE/SHIFTS, MUST BE FLEXIBLE AND WILLING TO FLOAT AND WORK WHEN NEEDEDSchedule Information

Overhead lifts in half the rooms, portable lifts, vein finders, bladder scannerFocus on patient experience scores, responsiveness, hospital environment, and communication about medicationsScrub Color/Dress code: Navy BlueHow many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 1 weekAdditional Details
Must be flexible and willing to learn as well as take feedback along the wayDifferent cultural populations are served on this unit- primarily Hispanic and SomalianRadius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
