About the Mission You Will Join:
The Cyber Effects Operations (CEO) (AF A2/6) mission is to employ cyberspace capabilities where the primary purpose is to achieve objectives and effects in or through cyberspace. The AF A2/6 develops innovative Air Force operating concepts, strategy, plans and solutions to compete, deter, and win in Air, Space and Cyberspace. AF A2/6 provides an integrated, capability-focused enterprise, with the goal of serving the warfighter's needs and eliminating the information seams that divide our capabilities.
Cybersecurity is crucial to the proper execution of Air Force core missions. The persistent and evolving cyberspace threat to the Air Force requires a holistic approach to cybersecurity that encompasses our people, culture, and operational processes. The Air Force will integrate cybersecurity throughout weapons systems development, testing, fielding, and employment. A culture shift in cybersecurity from compliance to resilience and risk mitigation across the Air Force will focus efforts on securing information across all our core missions.
Your Impact to the Mission:
VMD is seeking a Program Analyst SME for Global Force Management (GFM) and Air Force Force Generation (AFFORGEN) Support:
Support the client through coordination within our own Secretariat, A3, ACC, MAJCOM A6s, and Combatant Commands to validate sourcing and requirements for AFFORGEN support.Support the validation phase assignments and force packages, update UTCs, manning requirements, and training to support various theaters. Coordinate with the AFIN sustainment branch on Comm Squadron Force Design.Extensive knowledge of readiness reporting policy; ability to apply policy and leverage DRRS to conduct trend analysis to highlight gaps or issues with resources and MET reporting.Knowledge of associating standard type unit to readiness reporting tables.Proficiency in using the DRRS software and other related tools for data entry, management, and reporting.Understanding the structure and functionality of DRRS, including its purpose and how it integrates with other readiness systems.Understanding USAF organizational structure, mission types, and the ability to distinguish between force readiness and installation reporting requirements.Understanding the structure and functionality of DCAPES, including its purpose and how it integrates with other joint databases.Knowledgeable of DCAPES and the relationship USAF organizational units.Extensive knowledge of USAF Unit Type Codes (UTC) and Deployment Indicator (DEPID) purpose, registration, and utilization in JOPES.Knowledge and purpose of Unit Manning Documents and how manpower resources support UTC developmentKnowledge of DoD Forces and Infrastructure purpose and association with AF force structure.Provide oversight, guidance, and coordination with the other staff sections on integration of various weapons systems and capabilities into the AFIN (e.g., AOCs, Logistics systems, Command Post, etc.).Assist the government with tracking and administration of the 17X/1D7 career field Global Force Management process.Provide support to help with the understanding of current USAF and DOD polices that shape current operations.Prepare project documentation including meeting minutes, business process documents and other process workflow diagrams as required.Provides strategic advice, technical guidance, detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues.Assist in interpreting and implementing military policy initiatives.Provide assistance with long-term strategy development, tracking legislation, and making policy recommendations.Provides detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues.Experience Needed to Be Successful:
