Systems Administrator
MACOM is looking to hire a Systems Engineer to be an integral part of the MACOM IT department. An eligible candidate needs to be self-motivated and skilled at working with other IT teams and business partners to provide secure and supportable solutions. The Systems Engineer will review, assess, build and maintain these solutions using current platforms, while making sure processes and documentation are established to ensure long-term support and business availability.
Roles and Responsibilities
Supporting SCCM and endpoint management tools
Support Active Directory, Exchange Online and Okta platforms
Support Windows Servers operations and troubleshooting
Collaborate with multiple IT teams to complete IT projects (Security, Infrastructure, etc)
Gather project requirements from business partners and research solutions
Hands-on support for additional IT teams
Maintain documentation and processes to provide tools support teams require
Job Qualifications
Due to ITAR regulations, US Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status required
5+ years of related IT experience
Ability to work independently as well as with multiple teams
Ability to use critical thinking and experience to identify, assess and provide solutions to unexpected technical issues
Ability and experience tracking projects, tasks, tickets and documentation within helpdesk platform
Experience supporting and maintaining Hypervisor platforms (VMWare, Hyper-V, etc)
Experience supporting SSO and MFA platforms (Okta, Duo, Azure)
Hands-on experience installing server room related hardware (servers, switches, storage)
Basic understanding of networking
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrates strong work ethic
