Carrier is looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Software Engineering Intern to work with the Commercial Controls Engineering team to support projects focusing on control software design and development for embedded HVAC control systems. The assignment will be during the summer of 2025 for 3-4 months.Role Responsibilities

Develop and debug application software; implement changes and updates as neededDevelopment of embedded control algorithms using MATLAB/SimulinkDocument and test control applicationsResearch, investigate and fix technical issues with the codeCollaborate with senior members in the teamParticipate in peer reviews and support design reviewsPrepare end-of-summer internship report and presentationBasic Qualification

Pursuing a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Controls, Mechatronics, or Computer ScienceGPA must be greater than or equal to 3.0Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorshipPreferred Qualification

Experience with programming languages: C, C++, PythonExperience in simulation and Model-Based Design using MATLAB/SimulinkKnowledge of communication protocols (BACnet, Modbus, Ethernet)Experience working with LinuxStrong communication and presentation skillsSelf-motivated and results-orientedAbility to professionally engage with cross-functional and cross-regional teamsStrong problem-solving abilitiesHighly developed analytical and organizational skillsProfessional self-starter harboring a positive attitudeCarrier is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
