About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO)/City Recorder to join its executive leadership team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the financial stability and growth of the organization, with a focus on developing and implementing financial strategies that align with the long-term vision. This key role involves managing financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, as well as overseeing day-to-day financial operations to maintain the accuracy of financial reporting and ensure compliance with regulations. The CFO/City Recorder will also be responsible for capital planning, and budgeting, and will play a pivotal part in organization-wide performance management. Candidates for the CFO/City Recorder position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree being highly desirable. A professional certification such as CPA, CGFM, or CPFO is required. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years' experience in financial management, including at least 5 years in a senior financial leadership role, preferably within a municipal government or public sector environment. Strong leadership, management, and communication skills are essential, as is a proven track record in managing complex financial operations. The role demands a strategic thinker with in-depth knowledge of financial management software, and ERP systems, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office. The CFO/City Recorder will be expected to have exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, and a comprehensive understanding of regulatory requirements impacting municipal finance.
