Title: Business Development Manager - DoD Contingency Contracting

Location: ADS Headquarters (Virginia Beach, VA) or Remote

Our Mission at ADS Inc. is to actively seek our customers' equipment and logistical challenges and deliver innovative and cost-effective solutions. As we focus on growing our business, our Regional Account Managers are responsible for traveling to their assigned regions, building relationships with customers, and meeting with the top manufacturers in the DoD industry. As the ADS USCG West Coast Account Manager, you will be given all the tools to become an expert at providing procurement guidance and suggesting the best equipment on the market to better equip the warfighter, so every hero comes home.

JOB FUNCTIONS

While continually learning, collaborating, and partnering with all your Vertical team members, together you will drive DoD Contingency Contracting sales and company growth. While on the road, you will develop relationships with DoD contractors at all levels: end users, supply officers, KOs etc. while creatively addressing your customers problems, building custom solutions, and being their true resource through the acquisition process.

Managing a strong sales DoD contractor opportunity pipelineGenerating quotes and identifying optimal funding vehiclesEngaging in deal strategy & negotiationsActively logging all sales activityWorking with our support teams to ensure accurate order informationPERFORMANCE STANDARDS

The Contingency Contracting sales team and your success as a Business Development Manager will be measured by customer and supplier satisfaction, hitting assigned territory goals, team engagement, and overall sales growth.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Extensive CONUS and OCONUS travel required (50-75% or 2-3 weeks of every month)Occasional weekends, holidays, and after business hoursREQUIREMENTS

5-7 years sales experienceBachelor's Degree - military and/or contingency contracting experience may be substituted in lieu of degreeExcellent written and verbal communication skills - with exceptional interpersonal skillsMust be highly organized and adept at multi-tasking to juggle the duties of both inside and outside sales while managing competing priorities with relative comfortMust understand basic business financial concepts and to be able to budget own expenses in a cost-effective mannerAble to use customer/prospect contact activities tools (CRM systems) and update relevant information held in these systems as requiredMust possess strong strategic and analytical skills required to analyze customer problems and develop creative and effective solutionsMust be utterly committed to providing legendary customer service.DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience selling to customers in the DoD contingency and international contracting space highly preferredPrior Salesforce or other CRM software experienceUnderstanding of government contracts, defense procurement and relevant purchasing methods desired
