Our start-up client is seeking a Python Engineer / Backend Engineer to join their team. As a Backend Engineer, you will be part of the growing engineering department supporting the Coverage API team and other teams.
Job Title:
Backend Engineer / Python Engineer / Python Developer
Location:
Austin, TX (In office 3 days per week)
• U.S. Citizens, Green Card Holders, and those authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer will be considered.

What's the Job?
Develop and enhance the core Coverage API and associated microservices to support new use cases, primarily using Python for backend development.
Optimize existing backend systems for performance and scalability as we expand our existing customer base.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand product requirements, translate them into technical solutions and deliver high-quality software.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner, ensuring the reliability of our services.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and data privacy laws.
What's Needed?
Experience working for a start-up organization.
Proven experience with backend technologies and Python programming.
Strong understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design and development.
Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB.
Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
