Job SummaryWe seek a skilled and motivated Controls Assistant Project Manager to join our team in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in control systems project management, a stable work history, and a strong mechanical or electrical engineering foundation. This position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge building automation projects, supporting the development and integration of control systems.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssisted in managing building automation and controlled projects from initiation to completion.Collaborate with the project manager, engineering teams, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.Coordinate and oversee the installation, integration, and troubleshooting of control systems, including but not limited to BACnet, DDC controls, and Metasys.Created and modified AutoCAD and Visio drawings to document control system layouts.Ensure adherence to industry standards and company quality controls.Provide technical support and guidance to clients and field teams on using control systems such as Tritium, Niagara, Johnson Controls, and Schneider Electric systems.Track project progress and report on milestones, budgets, and potential issues to senior management.Maintain strong communication with all stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 3 years of experience in controls or building automation systems.Proficiency with AutoCAD and Visio for control system design documentation.Familiarity with BACnet and DDC control systems, with expertise in Tritium, Niagara, Dystype, ALC, Allerton, Johnson Controls, Metasys, and similar platforms.Stable work history with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Compensation and Benefits
