Job SummaryWe seek a highly skilled and experienced Controls Project Manager to join our team in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical or electrical engineering background, control systems, project management expertise, and familiarity with various industry-specific technologies. This role requires leadership, technical proficiency, and the ability to manage complex projects in building automation and controls.
Key ResponsibilitiesLed and managed control projects from conception through completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables were met.Collaborate with engineering teams, clients, and contractors to design, implement, and commission building automation and control systems.Oversee control system installation, programming, and integration, including BACnet, DDC, Tritium, Niagara, ALC, Allerton, and Johnson Controls.Provide technical guidance on control systems and ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications.Develop project plans, allocate resources, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.Utilize AutoCAD and Visio for design and documentation purposes.Manage project documentation, reporting, and client communication, ensuring stakeholder satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.Ensure proper system testing, troubleshooting, and resolution of any issues that arise during the commissioning phase.Stay current with industry trends and emerging technology for building automation and control systems.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.Minimum of 3 years of experience in controls project management or a similar role.Experience working with control systems such as BACnet and DDC, and knowledge of Tritium, Niagara, ALC, Allerton, and Metasys.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Visio, and other relevant software tools.Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with clients, vendors, and internal teams.An EIT or PE license is a plus but not required.Benefits
