JOB OVERVIEW
CVAUSA is searching for a Practice Controller in the Orlando, FL area. As a key member of the practice leadership team, the Practice Controller will report directly to the Administrator and will oversee the Accounting, Financial Reporting, Financial Audit, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Treasury, and Taxes functions. The Practice Controller will ensure that necessary financial controls are in place, monitor compliance, and maintain policies and procedures for financial and accounting processes. The Practice Controller plays a critical leadership role in the finance / accounting team and practice leadership team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to):
Directs and manages all practice accounting functions and financial system.Leads and coordinates all practice audit activities, including but not limited to annual financial audit and regulatory agency audits as required.Directs internal and external financial statements and financial reporting.Monitors and ensures compliance with GAAP standards and/or regulatory rules, including implementation of any changes.Evaluates accounting and internal control systems for effectiveness and improvements.Oversees regulatory reporting, including tax planning and compliance.Assists with practice Treasury operations, including but not limited to cash management, cash controls, banking activities, and corporate practice of medicine.Oversees Accounts Payable and Payroll operations, including physician compensation.Assists Practice CEO and Corporate Finance with the annual operating and capital budget.Implements effective accounting policies, practices, and procedures.Evaluates the staffing of the departments for process efficiencies and team effectiveness.Provides vital financial information / models to the leadership team for decision-making.Evaluates and makes recommendations on information system enhancements and new information technology as required to provide overall effectiveness and efficiency.Builds, oversees, and supports practice finance team with dynamic leadership that creates an environment of trust with high productivity.Builds strong relationships among all key stakeholders, included but not limited to Practice CEO, practice operations team, physician leadership, physician partners, CVAUSA leadership team, and corporate finance team.Performs other duties as assigned.JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONSRequired:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.At least 7 years of Accounting Healthcare / Physician Practice PreferredExperience in administrative policies and practice.Experience in working directly with physicians.Experience in matrix organization.Knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations Effective communication skills.Ability to function independently with minimal supervision and carry out those tasks necessary to fulfill the job responsibilities.Ability to manage sensitive information in a highly confidential manner.Be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:
