We are assisting a local client in their search for an experienced

Desktop Support Specialist .

This person will be responsible for serving as the liaison between users and the technology department to resolve issues, and lead teams on technical projects. They will provide recommendations for future application use. In addition, this position assists job sites with connectivity requirements. It requires frequent travel to job sites around the country to set up and ensure connectivity and will also provide technical assistance to all field personnel. Soft skills are equally as important as the right candidate MUST be a good communicator, be a self-starter, and have initiative and a passion for learning.

What you'll be doing (duties of this position):

Assist users in person, via phone, and email on company supported hardware and applicationsWork with users on application projectsTroubleshoot/Determine the source of computer problems (hardware, software, user access, etc.), document resolutions for future referencePerform hardware and software installationsServe as liaison between users and the technology department to resolve issuesCoordinate with other technology groups as neededCommunicate and assist users with their connectivity requirements throughout the entire lifecycle of the jobOrder Internet connections from service providersConfigure router, switches, and access points for office connectivityTroubleshoot connectivity issues for outer officesProvide recommendations on company application purchasesWhat you'll need to be considered (requirements):

Bachelor's degree in MIS or equivalent required3+ years' experience with hands-on desktop, network support role with proven skills within Microsoft Windows environmentsAbility to lead a team on varied technical projects; comfortable being the tech of last resort for difficult problemsExperience in the industrial or construction industry preferredAdvanced knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office is requiredExperience with iPads and iPhonesAbility to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goalsAbility to work in a strong collaborative atmosphereProfessionalism with end-user communication & ticket resolutionA+, Net+, and CCNA Certifications preferred
