Position Summary
The University Registrar, who serves as the official student record custodian for UCLA, is responsible for the leadership and management of the programs, services, and operations of the Registrar's Office by directing team members and working with campus partners to plan, implement, and deliver caring and collaborative in-person and online services for students, alumni, faculty, and staff. The Registrar's Office maintains official records of UCLA registered students, retains senate-approved academic program, course, and grade information, and administers applicable academic and administrative policies and procedures through consultative engagements with academic and administrative colleagues to align with campus and systemwide initiatives.

Qualifications
Supervisory Experience: 5+ years of supervisory experience in a central registrar services office at a large research university (Required)Ability to innovate and manage the implementation of new or enhanced services and technology systems/applications to deliver supportive, efficient and effective services for constituents. (Required)Skill to analyze information, policies, and procedures to formulate creative and objective solutions and alternatives that address complex and multi-faceted situations and concerns from constituents. (Required)Ability to analyze and implement academic and administrative policies and procedures. (Required)Detailed knowledge and ability to implement and enforce federal, state, systemwide, and campus student record policies, regulations, procedures and guidelines (e.g., FERPA, state privacy and public information practices, UC Residence for Tuition Purposes). (Required)Excellent written and verbal skills to communicate and present in various in-person and remote settings (e.g., one-on-one, small group, large group) (Required)Ability to lead and supervise a large professional staff by establishing inclusive campus protocols with recruitment, training efforts, work procedures, and performance evaluations. (Required)Knowledge with student records and enrollment, admissions, financial aid, student accounting, and cashiering procedures that support undergraduate, graduate, and professional degree programs. (Required)Interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective and cooperative relationships with staff, faculty, students, administrators, and vendors. (Required)Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues. Includes ability to lead committees and meetings to achieve identified objectives. (Required)Ability to manage financial, space, equipment and material resources, including developing plans and justifying acquisitions. (Required)Ability to use productivity tools and applications (e.g., MS Office, Teams, Slack, Adobe Acrobat) (Required)Knowledge of generally accepted records management principles to ensure proper maintenance, archiving, and destruction of printed and electronic data. (Required)

Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience (Required)Master's Degree (Required)
