Data Governance Analyst

to assist with documentation, business requirements, and integration of Data Classification and Data Rights Initiatives. In this exciting role, you will be a data governance liaison and subject matter expert for the targeted areas, providing details for business and operational concepts.The

Data Governance Analyst

will:Analyze multiple data segments within the organization and establish knowledge centers around the data segments and their data classification.Work with subject matter experts, end users, and others involved in the data supply chain to resolve issues and meet Data Governance objectives such as appropriately classifying data, data quality metrics, etc.Partner with key stakeholders on initiatives, application development, and implementation activities.Lead cross-functional teams in problem-solving sessions to structure and solve open-ended data-centric problems.Assist in the development, coordination, and implementation of processes related to data cataloguing and metadata.Present trainings, recommendations, and strategies to division/department management.Work closely with compliance and legal on new or changing data rights regulations.Qualifications:Have a passion for Data and how it helps drive insights that help the organization.Must have change management and problem-solving skills.Ability to identify and solve problems.Effective analysis, project management, problem resolution, and critical thinking skills.Solid requirements gathering, refinement, and analysis skills.Ability to work with all levels of the organization, set and reach divisions/department's goals.Must be organized, detail-oriented, able to multi-task, and have solid time-management skills.Experience working in an agile environment.Related system, operational, and project management experience is a plus.Involvement in data rights or data governance is a plus.Experience in financial institutions and banking is a plus.Requires a bachelor’s in finance, Business, Accounting, or related field and 4+ years of directly related business line experience, developing and implementing strategic programs/projects, delivering results, or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.Location:This position can be located 100% remote within the United States or will be a hybrid work-from-home schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office if you are located within 50 miles of the new Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.Pay Range:
