The Corporate Counsel, Commercial Brand involves delivering comprehensive legal guidance and support to internal teams within AbbVie's Botox and Eye Care divisions. The Corporate Counsel will offer advice that promotes the company's strategic objectives while mitigating legal and regulatory risks, ensuring the preservation of AbbVie's integrity and reputation. The role demands delivering timely, strategic, and practical legal input to internal colleagues and senior leadership on a broad spectrum of legal issues, with a particular focus on advertising and promotion, healthcare fraud and abuse, and related healthcare legislations. This position will work a hybrid work schedule from one of the following AbbVie locations: Lake County, IL Florham Park, NJ Irvine, CA Responsibilities: Serve as a key legal team member for the Botox Therapeutics and Eye Care business units, coordinating legal support across commercial matters and collaborating with various functions and practice areas. Manage complex legal issues across diverse areas of the company, applying in-depth knowledge of U.S. laws and regulations (e.g., False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Statute, FCPA) and industry guidance (e.g., PhRMA Code, AdvaMed Code of Ethics). Proactively identify potential legal challenges, providing innovative solutions and strategic legal counsel that aligns with the company’s future needs. Operate effectively with minimal supervision, using sound judgment to balance and prioritize legal, regulatory, and business considerations. Communicate complex legal concepts clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences, demonstrating excellent relationship-building and listening skills. Exhibit strong business acumen and problem-solving abilities, translating insights into practical legal strategies and compliance advice. Maintain a hands-on approach and well-organized work style, managing tasks and responsibilities efficiently and meeting deadlines independently. Significant Work Activities:

Continuous sitting for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8 hr day) is required. Qualifications

Juris Doctorate Degree from a nationally accredited school. NJ, IL, or CA Bar licensure or NJ, IL, or CA In-house Counsel eligibility required. 4-6 years in a law firm and/or in-house legal department with legal experience. In-Office requirements: 3 days per week. Some travel to CA will be required if candidate resides in NJ or IL. Additional Information
