Senior Account Director

aligns to the Naval Business Group (NBG) within SAIC and supports the SAIC Combat and Strategic Systems (CSS) Market Leader. This role can be located in: Crane, IN; Panama City, FL; or Dahlgren, VA.

The

Senior Account Director

is responsible for:

Supporting the Account Vice President in driving internal and external growth of the portfolio and be able to execute sound judgement that aligns to the Account strategy and as defined by SAIC guidelines and policies.

Overseeing and managing the technical innovational aspects of ongoing projects and serving as a technology insertion liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviewing the status of projects and budgets to identify potential technologies that can be introduced into contract requirements to support the customer’s overall mission.

Assessing project issues and developing technical or solution-based resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

Ensuring contract technology and process requirements and subcontractor responsibilities are being accomplished including working on the definition and implementation of project planning techniques to provide visibility on the contract.

Supporting budget and schedule reviews to meet contractual/project requirements for an assigned portion of a program, participating in and establishing and defining program plan requirements, and monitoring technology progress against plans to ensure that contractual, cost and schedule objectives are met.

Duties to include:

Assisting in identifying, qualifying, and capturing opportunities for a robust pipeline focused within the Navy focal areas that supports the Naval Business Group growth objectives.

Communicating resource needs and leveraging resources assigned is critical to the success of every capture manager; collaborating with subject and technical matter experts, functional leads, and Program Managers.

Creating a collaborative environment that supports diversity of thought and the intent to work across the entire SAIC Enterprise to bring the absolute best personnel and capabilities onboard to support the Navy’s mission and objectives.

Coordinating with team members including PMs, technical leadership, and SMEs to build and execute call plans to ensure our innovative approach to technology insertion is exceeding customer expectations and to position SAIC for successful pursuits of future efforts.

Working closely with Program Managers to gather, assess, and validate customer technical requirements.

Assessing probable competition and evaluating relative strengths and threats well before opportunities are released to industry.

Collaborating effectively with internal teams and external partners to sustain operational excellence, resolve conflicts, and achieve customer satisfaction.

Identifying technical and facility gaps and developing strategies to overcome weaknesses and mitigate risks.

Supporting development of strategic teaming alliances with other entities supporting the Warfare Centers.

Briefing technology advancements and “Go-To-Market” strategies at the Market and Business Group level meetings when needed.

Establishing Overhead, Capital Expenditures, and training budgets needed to support the long-term technology strategy.

Ensuring compliance with ethical and quality standards and escalating challenges to SAIC leadership.

Qualifications

Required Education and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or higher and 20+ years of experience in relevant business, technical, or professional field of study.

Understanding of Naval Combat and Strategic Systems community to include current programs of record.

Sound business judgment, keen conceptual skills, intellectual discipline, self-confidence, imagination, well-developed management skills, and the personal ambition to play a major role in the growth and success of a high technology company with a strong heritage for high quality and responsive service to its clients.

Ability to develop relationships with Navy/ NSWC leadership and technical leads at various locations.

Ability to work and execute a quick response to data calls and informational requests.

Demonstrate the ability to influence constructively and interact at the highest levels of the corporate structure.

Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and business acumen.

Confidence and experience dealing with senior executives; ability to work effectively in fast-paced, time-sensitive, and often multi-tasking environment.

Strong understanding of Naval Engineering and Integration.

Ability to travel, as necessary in support of the Market or the Enterprise (around 20% of the time).

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

US Citizenship required.
