Ob/Gyn Nurse Practitioner

Albany Medical Center is looking for a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our OBGYN Generalist Division. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to provide comprehensive care to patients in a supportive environment.As a Nurse Practitioner (NP), you will leverage your clinical experience and advanced knowledge to manage patients' health care needs. Your role will involve ordering diagnostic tests, consulting with other healthcare providers, and implementing tailored care plans in collaboration with our medical team. You will play an essential role in case management, ensuring quality, family-centered care.Key Responsibilities:Conduct thorough patient assessments and physical examinations.Order and interpret medical tests, diagnose conditions, and manage treatment plans.Administer medications, perform minor surgeries, and provide preventive health care measures.Document patient care accurately for compliance and billing purposes.Lead clinical teams during shifts to optimize patient flow and care delivery.Mentor new staff and serve as a resource for physician assistant students.Qualifications:Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.Demonstrated proficiency with computerized medical recordkeeping and billing systems.Strong communication skills and ability to establish trust with patients and team members.Current NP licensure and certifications in ATLS and BCLS.Compliance with HIPAA regulations.Work Environment and Physical Demands:Ability to stand and walk constantly; lifting and carrying will occur frequently.Engage in various physical activities, including pushing and pulling as needed.Join our team at Albany Medical Center in Castleton On Hudson, NY, where your skills will be valued, and you can make a significant difference in the lives of patients.
