Assist in all aspects of litigation, including:Class, collective, and PAGA actionsSingle-plaintiff actionsEvaluate claimsHandle mediation processesTake depositionsEngage in motion practicePrepare for and participate in arbitration and trialInvolve in administrative charge work, including preparing position statementsDepending on experience:Work with senior attorneys to counsel HR professionals and business executives on employment law complianceProvide strategic advice to avoid and resolve employment disputesQualifications:
Active California State Bar membership5+ years of experience handling employment litigation in California, including:Wage and hour class, collective, or PAGA actionsSubstantial experience in employment litigation in California, specifically in:DiscriminationHarassmentRetaliationLeave interference claims(Preferably representing management)Experience handling charges before the EEOC and similar state or local agenciesExperience drafting employment policies (preferred)Experience counseling employers on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (preferred)Ability to work both collaboratively and independentlyAbility to manage multiple matters simultaneously to meet client demandsExcellent research, writing, communication, and interpersonal skills, including public speaking
