This is a full-time, entry-level apprenticeship designed to prepare candidates for a future as a Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Mechanic Journeyman within our company. The Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Mechanic Apprentice will perform maintenance and service repairs on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systemsRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment specificationsPerform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems and document findingsTroubleshoot issues with HVAC equipmentOperate hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipmentMaintain accurate records of all maintenance activitiesAssist with inventory tracking and reporting for HVAC supplies and partsRespond to urgent maintenance requests and assist in emergency repairsParticipate actively in safety and skills training as directedComply with safety standards, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirementsPerform general site clean-up and organization tasks as directed by the supervisorAll other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsStrong communication skills and ability to work within an industrial settingAbility to work independently and as part of a teamMust have a valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

Industry-standard HVAC certifications or licenses - EPA Section 608, OSHA1-2 years of experience in an industrial maintenance environmentFamiliarity with HVAC safety standards and procedures
