Join our world-class team today.Position Specific DescriptionThe Senior Project Manager with our M&A and Joint Ventures at NextEra Energy Transmission (NEET) is responsible for sourcing and executing M&A opportunities as well as leading strategic Joint Venture engagements. You will be responsible for leading end-to-end deal execution that includes running internal vetting and executive approval committee processes during the deal lifecycle. Seeking a highly professional individual that collaborates well with both internal and external stakeholders. This role reports directly to the Head of M&A and Joint Ventures at NEET.In this position you will have responsibility for the following:Identifying and prioritizing target acquisition and Joint Venture partnership opportunitiesLeading due diligence efforts for acquisitions and collaborating and coordinating with internal and external subject matter expertsCoordinating with legal to prepare and negotiate transaction related documents including bid letters, term sheets, letters of intent, and purchase and sale agreementsStructuring Joint Venture partnership agreementsSupporting the financial modeling efforts by reviewing and developing acquisition models; performing financial transaction analysis including: accretion / dilution, investment returns, credit analyses, financing, and competitor analysisLeading internal deal approval processes that include creating and making executive level presentationsCollaborating with the operations team to forecast operating costs and identifying capital improvementsSupporting efforts to make necessary regulatory filings to secure approvalsCoordinating with a cross-functional team of internal business leaders to support integration effortsIdeal candidate should possess the following:Ability to work on matrixed team in a fast-paced environmentAbility to manage multiple competing prioritiesStrong analytical skills – including expertise in ExcelStrong communication skills – interpersonal as well as presentationBachelor's Degree in finance, accounting or technical field highly preferredMBA, CPA, or relevant graduate degree highly desirableJob Overview

This job is responsible for resource allocation, schedules, cost and technical adequacy, ensuring the project or transaction is completed in the most cost-effective and competitive manner. This position manages all aspects of the business deal and ensures the project is completed on time and within budgetary constraints.Job Duties & Responsibilities
Manages all aspects of the day-to-day transaction process to ensure timely completion as well as a cost-effective and competitive resultLeads and coordinates key functions such as financial feasibility analyses, engineering/design, project legal review, permitting activities and financial negotiationsResponsible for managing multiple and complex projectsCoordinates due diligence activities with other internal groups to ensure proper analysis and structuring of assigned projectsActs as liaison between internal and external specialists regarding procurement, contracting, permitting and interconnectionConstructs contractual arrangements for project developmentNegotiates agreements with consultants and subcontractorsEnsures compliance with applicable technical and regulatory requirementsFosters external relationships with customers, third parties and members of the communityPerforms other job-related duties as assignedRequired Qualifications
