As we continue to grow and expand our operations, we are seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Operating Officer (COO) to join our leadership team and drive operational excellence.

Job Description

As the COO of Mozaic, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring the successful execution of our business strategies. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead cross-functional teams to optimize processes, enhance productivity, and deliver exceptional results.

Requirements

Drive Operational Excellence: Work closely with the CEO and executive team to develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Define Objectives & Key Results (OKRs) across the organization to measure operational performance, track progress, and ensure team alignment toward strategic goals. Lead the development and execution of annual operating plans and budgets, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. Identify opportunities for operational improvements and efficiencies to drive cost savings and enhance scalability. Oversee international payout operations by ensuring the seamless execution of global payout processes, maintaining compliance with international regulations, and optimizing operational efficiency. Develop and manage international banking infrastructure by establishing robust banking systems that support global operations, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability.

Foster Cross-Functional Leadership and Collaboration: Build and lead high-performing cross-functional teams across operations, including customer service, logistics, technology, and risk management. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organization. Maintain a strong (happy and engaged) culture, keeping unwanted turnover low and meeting hiring goals. Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations for team members, promoting a culture of excellence and achievement. Collaborate closely with other functional leaders to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of activities across departments. Collaborate with the Finance team on strategic planning to develop and execute long-term strategies that support the company's financial health and growth objectives.

Drive Revenue Growth: Evaluate existing processes and workflows to identify opportunities for optimization and automation. Implement best practices and standardized processes to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. Lead initiatives to streamline workflows, eliminate bottlenecks, and reduce operational costs. Leverage technology solutions to enhance operational capabilities and drive innovation. Work with the CEO to ensure all Board and Investors materials are accurate and timely, while supporting all future fundraising initiatives.

Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Develop and implement risk management frameworks and processes to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal policies. Monitor key risk indicators and implement controls to minimize exposure to operational risks. Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure adherence to compliance standards and operational protocols.

Cultivate a Culture of Excellence: Provide regular updates and insights to the executive team on operational performance, trends, and challenges. Analyze data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and drive actionable insights. Develop dashboards and performance scorecards to facilitate data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in senior operational and strategic leadership roles, preferably within the fintech, technology, or payments industry. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Strong strategic planning and execution skills, with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and initiatives. Demonstrated experience in process optimization, workflow design, and operational excellence methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma). Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve peak performance. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels of the organization. Knowledge of regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and risk management principles within the financial services industry.
