Clinical Nutrition Manager III
at St. David’s South Austin Medical Center, a 368 bed acute care facility which offers a range of complex specialties and sub-specialties, including a nationally accredited oncology program with the area’s only adult Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program; Level II Trauma Center with a dedicated Shock Trauma ICU; comprehensive cardiac, stroke and orthopedic programs; and a full-service maternity and newborn care.

Position will report to the General Manager and ideal candidate will:Manage nutrition care services and have oversight of dietitiansServe in a leadership role on the Food and Nutrition Services team along with other Sodexo managers and represent the department on hospital wide medical staff committeesProvide clinical support for the hospital and see patientsHave strong management experience in acute care nutrition servicesHave demonstrated skills in managing and developing clinical staff; monitoring and evaluation of nutrition care services; development of policy and proceduresHave excellent communication and customer skills and be an outstanding team playerHave a highly visible role with client interaction and represent the departmentPrior experience and a strong understanding of regulatory readiness and nutrition standards of care

Basic Education Requirement:Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
Credentials Requirement:Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hireCertification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
Basic Management Experience: At least 13 months experience supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results within limited timeframes.Basic Functional Experience: 3 years as experienced practitioner able to work unsupervised and provide professional supervision to developing practitioners
