Orange Coast College (OCC) is seeking an innovative equity-minded leader to serve as the
Executive Director of College Advancement
within the Executive Wing as part of the Office of the President. About Orange Coast College (OCC) Orange Coast College's 164-acre campus is located in Costa Mesa just minutes from Southern California's beautiful beaches. Founded in 1947, OCC serves a diverse local and global community, empowering students through high-quality, culturally responsive programs and services. OCC engages in collaborative efforts aimed at fostering a culture of educational excellence and inclusivity, with a commitment to providing high-quality academic programs and student-centered support services. OCC is a recognized leader in preparing students for transfer to four-year institutions and holds the prestigious designations of both a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) and an Asian American, Native American, and Pacific Islander Serving Institution (AANAPISI).

Department Specifics: About OCC Foundation Since its founding in 1985, the Orange Coast College Foundation has received over $155 million in contributions, enhancing the campus with various signature projects and awarding over $800,000 in scholarships last year alone.
Summary Plans, organizes, controls, and directs the activities of the College Foundation, including implementing capital development and fundraising programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Designs and implements comprehensive development programs. Provides support to the President, Foundation Board, and senior administration regarding donor cultivation. Prepares and implements revenue development strategies. Plans and organizes activities to support campaign development. Cultivates contacts for identifying and contacting donors. Prepares communications to acknowledge donors. Develops deferred and planned giving programs. Coordinates fundraising activities for scholarship programs. Develops community and business relationships for in-kind gifts. Oversees the development of marketing materials supporting fundraising activities. Performs other related duties as assigned. Knowledge and Skills Requires specialized knowledge of foundation leadership and fundraising. Requires well-developed human relations skills. Requires well-developed English language skills. Requires sufficient math skills for financial calculations. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in marketing communications, journalism, business, or a related field and 8 years of progressive experience in a fundraising role. Demonstrated evidence of D.E.I.A. responsiveness within the community college student population. Desirable Qualifications: Valid licensure such as CFRE certification.
